1. It is a sad moment that I take to let you know that New York Past Department Commander and Past National Commander Donald Leroy Roberts has answered his final muster. Don was an active and vibrant member of the Sons, serving in active positions in the Department and the National Order. He lived in Candor, NY his whole life and will have a memorial service at 7 pm at the Candor Funeral Home in Candor, NY on Monday, October 17. Calling hours at the same location are from 5 to 7 the same day.
In memory of Don, I order that all Camp Charters be draped for 30 days from the date of this order, and that all members wear a mourning ribbon on their badge. Mourning ribbons can be obtained from our National Quartermaster, Danny Wheeler, in Ithaca. Please let other members know.
